Eid-al-Fitr

Eid-al-Fitr is the biggest festival for the Muslims. After a month's fasting Muslims celebrate Eid-al-Fitr at the end of the month of Ramadan. It comes with great pleaser and joy. This day has a special significance for Muslims. On the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, the Muslims get a chance to exchange greeting among their near and dear ones. On this day, Muslims give fitra to the poor people. And they also give new dress to the poor people. On this occasion people wear new dresses. They go to the Eidgah to say their Eid prayer. After the prayer, they embrace each other and say "Eid Mubarak". They go to our relatives house. Special dishes like khichuri, Payesh, Polao, Korma etc. are made to celebrate this day. Children make a lot of fun in this day. There are  special programmes on the radio and television. So, Eid-al-Fitr is the source of joy in the Muslim world.
