Rahim: Hi, Karim.

Karim: Hello, Rahim.

Rahim: How are you?

Karim: I am fine, thank you. And you?  

Rahim: I am also fine. thank you too.

Karim: Where did you go yesterday?

Rahim: I went to Dhaka to attend a seminar on deforestation and its effect.

Karim : Oh, very good. How was the seminar?

Rahim: The seminar was very significant as the content of the seminar was very important.

Karim: Would you please tell me about the deforestation and its effect.

Rahim : Of course. What do you want to know?

Karim: What does deforestation mean?

Rahim: Deforestation means cutting down trees in large number.

Karim: What are the causes of deforestation?

Rahim: There are many causes of deforestation. Over population is the main cause of deforestation. People are cutting trees for home, fuel, furniture, quick profit, more space etc.

Karim: I see, It means everyday we are losing our trees in large number.

Rahim: You are right.

Karim: What are the effects of deforestation?

Rahim: It has so many effects. It disturbs our ecological balance. It may damage wildlife and raise sea levels. It is responsible for incising carbon di oxide.

Karim: What kinds of problem may we face?

Rahim: If we destroy trees at random, one day the world will turn into a great desert. The temperature will rise and it will cause green house effect.

Karim: How can we reduce deforestation?

Rahim: Firstly, We need to plant more and more trees. We also need to grow public awareness and government should come forward and take proper steps for reduce deforestation.

Karim: I have understand. 

Rahim: Very good.

Karim: Thank you very much for your good information.

Rahim: You are most welcome.
