Global Language:
There is no official definition of 'global' or 'world' language. But to be a global language , a language needs to achieve a global status. When a language learned and spoken internationally then it is called global language. According to the David Crystal (2003), when English is a global language, it can be given official status of a country, to be used as a medium of communication in such domains as government, the law courts, the media, and the education system. A global language acts as a "lingua franca". It is used in international organizations and in diplomatic relations.
