Maxim Gorky was a Russian writer. His family name was Alexei Maximovich Peshkov. Maxim Gorky was his pen name. He was born in 1868. He was the father of socialist realism. He was a writer, journalist and politician. He died in 1936 at the age of 68 in  Soviet Union.
