Pahela Boishakh

Pahela Boishakh is the first day of Bangla new year.  We observe the day every year. This day has a special significance for us. It is a part of Bangalee culture and tradition. It is an annual festival in our country. Every year the day is celebrated traditionally. About one year ago, I celebrated Pahela  Boishakh.  On this day, I got up early in the morning. It was a public holy day. I was very happy. I ate panta illash in that day. I put on traditional dress such as pajamas and punjabis. Then I went to Romna Batamol. There are many cultural programs held on Romna Batanol. The day starts with Romna Batamol with many cultural programs. I joined many cultural programs these were arranged by different cultural organizations such as Bangla Academy, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Bangladesh National Museum. In the afternoon, I came back home. Then I went to Join a Halkhata with my father. In the evening, I went to Baishakhi Mela with my friends. I came back home at 10 pm. Then I read  special supplements that bring out by newspaper. Over all, the day was very enjoyable.
